Cheong Wa Dae monitoring situation on N. Korea’s projectile fire
SEOUL, South Korea's presidential office said Thursday it is keeping a close eye on the current security situation following a further North Korean launch of "unidentified projectiles."
Chung Eui-yong, head of Cheong Wa Dae's National Security Office, is "keeping close tabs" on the situation, communicating with the Ministry of National Defense and the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) via video conference, at the national crisis management center, according to its spokesperson, Ko Min-jung.
North Korea shot the projectiles into the East Sea earlier in the day, the JCS announced.
