Incheon: Celltrion Inc., a major South Korean biopharmaceutical firm, announced that it has commenced commercial operations at its third manufacturing plant located in Incheon, just west of Seoul. This development marks a significant expansion in the company's production capabilities. According to Yonhap News Agency, the new facility has started manufacturing drug substances for Celltrion. With the addition of this plant, Celltrion now boasts a combined annual drug production capacity of 250,000 liters. The third manufacturing plant alone contributes 60,000 liters to this capacity. Celltrion stated that the new plant will handle the production of various types of products. This expansion is aimed at quickly responding to the evolving demands in the global biopharmaceutical market, ensuring that the company remains agile and competitive.
