The department of agriculture and rural development of Can Tho city organised a ceremony to export 1.2 tons of thanh longan variety - a regional specialty - to the United States (the US) on July 23 in Co Do district, Can Tho city. The shipment was made at a previously-signed contract between Trang Ti garden cooperative, Co Do district's authority and Vina T and T. Thanh longan (Thanh nhan) is a delicious longan variety originating from Bac Lieu province, with large fruits, thick flesh, small seeds and slightly sweet taste. Source: Vietnam News Agency
