Government House, Cabinet approves major transfers of the Ministry of Transport
Ms. Kanika Unjit, Deputy Government Spokesperson, revealed that the Cabinet meeting approved the following appointments:
(1) Request to extend the tenure of high-level administrative civil servants (Ministry of Transport)
. The Cabinet resolved to approve the proposal of the Ministry of Transport to extend the tenure of 2 high-level administrative civil servants, as follows:
Mr. Chirut Wisanjit, Director-General (Senior Executive), Department of Land Transport, for another year (2nd time) from October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2025.
Mr. Sarawong Paitoonphong, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Senior Executive), Office of the Permanent Secretary, for another 1 year (first time) from 1 October 2024 to 30 September 2025.
(2) Appointment of high-level administrative civil servants (Ministry of Transport).
The Cabinet resolved to approve the Ministry of Transport’s proposal to transfer high-level administrative civil servants to posit
ions that will be vacant due to the original position holders retiring at the end of fiscal year 2024 and to replace continuously vacant positions, which is in accordance with the criteria specified in the Office of the Civil Service Commission letter No. Nor 0708/W 9 dated 12 May 1992, effective from 1 October 2024, for a total of 3 persons, as follows:
Mr. Apirat Chaiwongnoi, Director-General (Senior Executive), Department of Rural Roads, will assume the position of Director-General (Senior Executive), Department of Highways, replacing the position that will be retired.
Mr. Montree Dechasakunsom, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Senior Executive), Office of the Permanent Secretary, to hold the position of Director-General (Senior Executive), Department of Rural Roads, replacing the vacant position in Section 1.
Ms. Ratchaneeporn Thititrap, Inspector General of the Ministry (Senior Inspector General of the Ministry), Office of the Permanent Secretary, to hold the position of Deputy Permanent Secretary (Senior
Executive), Office of the Permanent Secretary,
effective from the date of His Majesty’s gracious appointment.
(3) Appointment of high-level administrative civil servants (Ministry of Transport)
. The Cabinet resolved to approve the Ministry of Transport’s proposal to promote low-level administrative civil servants to high-level administrative positions in accordance with the guidelines specified in the Office of the Civil Service Commission’s letters No. Nor 0708.1/W 22 dated 30 September 1997 and No. Nor 1003/W 22 dated 18 June 2010 to fill 2 vacant positions, as follows:
Mr. Phadungsak Srujikamcharoenwattana, Deputy Director-General (Junior Executive), Department of Rural Roads, has been appointed to the position of Inspector-General of the Ministry (Senior Inspector-General of the Ministry), Office of the Permanent Secretary.
Mr. Jirapong Theppitak, Deputy Director-General (Junior Executive), Department of Highways, has been appointed to the position of Inspector-General of the Ministry (Senior Inspec
tor-General of the Ministry), Office of the Permanent Secretary,
effective from the date of His Majesty’s gracious appointment.
(4) Appointment of civil servants to hold senior professional positions (Ministry of Finance).
The Cabinet has resolved to approve the proposal of the Minister of Finance to appoint 2 civil servants under the Ministry of Finance to hold senior professional positions, effective from the date they have complete qualifications, as follows:
Mr. Phongsak Methaphiphat, Deputy Director-General of the Revenue Department, will be appointed as Strategic Tax Collection Advisor (Banking and Financial Transactions Group) (Senior Policy and Plan Analyst), Revenue Department, Ministry of Finance, effective from April 1, 2024.
Ms. Pinyu Kamnerdlom, Director of the Division [Special Director (Computer Science), Senior], Information Technology Division, Revenue Department, to hold the position of Information and Communication Technology Advisor (Senior Computer Science Expert), Revenue Department
, Ministry of Finance, effective from April 23, 2024,
effective from the date of His Majesty’s gracious appointment onwards.
(5) Appointment of civil servants to hold professional positions at the expert level (Ministry of Social Development and Human Security)
. The Cabinet resolved to approve the proposal of the Minister of Social Development and Human Security to appoint Ms. Busaya Jaisawang, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Older Persons Affairs, to hold the position of Academic Advisor for Social Development (Expert Policy and Plan Analyst), Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, effective from 11 April 2024, which is the date on which all qualifications are complete. This is effective from the date of His Majesty’s gracious appointment onwards.
(6) Appointment of civil servants to hold senior academic positions (Office of the Prime Minister)
. The Cabinet resolved to approve the proposal of the National Intelligence Agency to appoint Mr. Ch
aithon Suwanna-ampha, Director of the Office (Senior Director), Office 5, National Intelligence Agency, to hold the position of Advisor on Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crime (Senior Journalist), Advisory Group, National Intelligence Agency, Office of the Prime Minister, effective from the date of His Majesty’s gracious appointment onwards.
(7) The appointment of other members to the Board of Directors of the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural
Cooperatives. The Cabinet resolved to approve the Ministry of Finance’s proposal to appoint Ms. Thipaporn Sriphonla (representative of the agricultural cooperative shareholders) as another member of the Board of Directors of the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives, replacing Mr. Sunthorn Talalak, another original member who resigned on July 1, 2024, effective from the date of the Cabinet resolution onwards. The person appointed as a replacement shall serve for the term of the person he replaces.
