Lima:Global K-pop sensation BTS is set to launch its first-ever concerts in Peru, with performances scheduled at Estadio San Marcos in Lima on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday as part of their "Arirang" world tour. This marks the band's debut shows in the South American country since their 2013 debut.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the city of Lima is commemorating this historic visit with a weeklong celebration. The Santiago de Surco district has temporarily renamed Sacramento Street as "BTS Avenue" from October 5 to 11, with signs installed along the route. Additionally, the Arco Morisco in Friendship Park has been illuminated in BTS's signature purple color and will feature daily light shows through Sunday. The Fountain of Fantasy at Lima's Fountain Park will also present a BTS-themed show with music, lights, and water screens during this period.
BTS recently kicked off the South American leg of their tour with performances at Estadio Nemesio Camacho El Campin in Bogota last weekend, drawing approximately 100,000 fans.
