Seoul: RM, the leader of the globally renowned K-pop group BTS, has revealed that the band faced discussions about potentially disbanding or suspending activities during their recent hiatus. This revelation comes as BTS is set to make a full-group comeback next spring, following the completion of mandatory military service by all seven members.
According to Yonhap News Agency, RM shared during a live broadcast on the K-pop fan platform Weverse that the group had frequently contemplated whether to continue as a unit. He emphasized that the decision to persevere was driven by the members' mutual affection and respect, as well as the support from their fans.
RM confirmed that preparations for their upcoming album are progressing well, with plans for a release next year. In July, BTS announced that all seven members would participate in the new album, which will be accompanied by a world tour slated for next spring.
The upcoming album will be BTS' first full-group project in almost four years. Their last release as a complete unit was the anthology album "Proof," followed by the "Yet to Come in Busan" concert in 2022. RM assured fans that the band is diligently working on the album and is eager to showcase their efforts once everything is ready.
