Seoul: A court has issued an arrest warrant for a man in his 60s accused of a stabbing spree at an office in eastern Seoul earlier this week, resulting in the death of one of the three victims.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the Seoul Eastern District Court issued the warrant for the suspect, identified only by his surname Jo, on charges of murder. The court cited concerns over the potential destruction of evidence and risk of flight as reasons for the arrest warrant.
Jo allegedly attacked two women, aged in their 50s and 60s, and a man in his 70s, at the office of a redevelopment cooperative in Cheonho-dong, Gangdong Ward, on Tuesday. Jo had previously served as the chief of the cooperative. The attack left one woman in her 50s dead from severe neck wounds, while the other two victims sustained serious injuries.
