Seoul: The Army's Special Warfare Command has successfully conducted maritime infiltration drills aimed at bolstering its special operations capabilities at sea, the armed service announced on Friday. These drills, which commenced on Monday and lasted for five days, took place near Boryeong, approximately 140 kilometers south of Seoul, and involved the 1st Special Forces Brigade.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the exercises included a variety of training scenarios. Troops practiced maintaining formation during high-speed infiltrations and executed covert operations by paddling without motors. The special operations unit adeptly transitioned from offshore waters to the coastline using an inflatable boat, infiltrating inland while neutralizing threats encountered along the way.
