Apple bringing live baseball games to its video streaming service

Apple has announced plans to add live sports streams to its streaming service for the first time in an effort to compete with Netflix and other services in an increasingly crowded streaming market. On Apple TV+, two games of the American professional baseball league MLB will be shown on Fridays in several countries, as company boss Tim Cook announced on Tuesday. The timing of the announcement is not entirely fortunate for Apple, however, and after the collapse of negotiations, the Major League Baseball season will not begin on the planned date of March 31.
