Seoul: Actress Kim Sae-ron, known for her roles in "The Man from Nowhere" and "The Neighbors," was discovered dead at her residence in Seongsu-dong, eastern Seoul, on Sunday. Authorities reported that the 24-year-old's body was found at approximately 4:55 p.m. by a friend who was supposed to meet her. The friend subsequently contacted the police.

According to Yonhap News Agency, police have not identified any signs of foul play at this time, but investigations into the circumstances surrounding her death are ongoing. Kim Sae-ron's unexpected passing has left many in shock.

Kim had previously made headlines in 2022 when she was caught driving under the influence, resulting in a crash into a guardrail and a transformer. She received a fine of 20 million won (US$13,850) for the incident. Despite attempts to resume her acting career by participating in a play last April, Kim withdrew due to health concerns amid the controversy.
