According to Yonhap News Agency, Choi shared his message on X, formerly known as Twitter, extending his congratulations to President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance on their inauguration. Choi emphasized the anticipation of revitalizing the alliance between the Republic of Korea and the United States during Trump's 47th presidency, similar to the collaboration during his 45th presidency.

Donald Trump was sworn in as the United States' 47th president on Monday, U.S. time. He reiterated his commitment to "put America first," focusing on economic policies that include imposing tariffs on foreign countries to benefit Americans. Additionally, Trump indicated a preference for avoiding military involvement in international conflicts.
