SEOUL: Acting Defense Minister Kim Seon-ho held talks with U.S. Ambassador Philip Goldberg on Thursday, reinforcing the strong bilateral alliance between South Korea and the United States, Seoul's defense ministry announced.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the meeting, which took place at the defense ministry in Seoul, highlighted the resilience of the South Korea-U.S. alliance amidst shifting security and political landscapes. Both parties acknowledged the enduring strength of their partnership.

Kim expressed gratitude to Ambassador Goldberg for his significant contributions to advancing the alliance since his appointment in July 2022. Kim also requested Goldberg's continued support in further enhancing the bilateral relationship.

Ambassador Goldberg, in response, assured South Korea of the United States' unwavering commitment to their robust alliance, as stated in the ministry's release.
