Seoul: Three people died in a stabbing attack at a restaurant in Seoul on Wednesday, with the suspect attempting to take his own life, officials said.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the attack was carried out by a man in his 40s who targeted two men and a woman with a sharp weapon at a restaurant in the southwestern ward of Gwanak. The incident occurred at around 10:57 a.m., as confirmed by police and rescue authorities.
The victims were immediately rushed to the hospital but unfortunately did not survive their injuries. The suspect reportedly attempted to take his own life following the attack but was rescued by authorities.
Police are investigating the possibility that the attack was motivated by a business dispute. An investigation into the incident is currently underway as officials seek more details about the circumstances surrounding the attack.
