Pohang: One Marine noncommissioned officer was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound at an off-base housing unit in the southeastern city of Pohang on Monday, military officials said.

According to Yonhap News Agency, military authorities and local police have launched a joint investigation to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident. The Marine Corps has not provided further details about the case at this time.
